The Diploma in Veterinary Client Care can only be completed once the Certificate in Veterinary Client Care has been completed.

  6. Leading and managing Colleagues 
  7. Recruitment and Induction of new CCA colleagues
  8. Meetings / Appraisals / Informal L&D conversations
  9. Managing IT relating to Client Care 
  10. Coping with the challenges & Responsibilities of being a Senior CCA / Team Leader: Mental Strength and Wellbeing

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the Regulation of the Veterinary Profession and how the principles of professional responsibility apply to all roles within veterinary 
  • Apply the principles of Leadership and Management theory to working as  senior CCA in veterinary practice. 
  • Demonstrate & enhance CCA professionalism as a CCA Team Leader 
  • Implement front of house systems that ensure higher standards of client care. 
  • Deal with dissatisfaction, comments and complaints.
  • Manage, assist and troubleshoot issues relating to adding products to the price list, reconciling payments and cash, including banking. 
  • Recruit and Induct new CCA colleagues
  • Organise and run team meetings / appraisals / informal 'one-to-one' conversations with colleagues. 
  • Train, manage and resolve common IT issues related to Client Care 
  • Cope with the challenges & Responsibilities of being a Senior CCA / Team Leader: Build Mental Strength and Wellbeing.
