The Core Standards in Veterinary Client Care course is delivered as online webinars, followed by multiple choice questions, taking approximately 5 hours to complete.

The webinars are based around the key contact times within the client journey, as well as covering the essential knowledge and skills CCA's need to know about working in veterinary practice. 

This course is FREE until further notice.

The Core Standards in Veterinary Client Care course is suitable for those with no previous veterinary experience, providing introductory training, or can act as a refresher course for those with more experience in the role. 

On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to download their certificate of achievement. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course you will be confident about:

  • Dealing with enquiries about preventative healthcare.
  • Understanding the principles of preventative healthcare services and products.
  • Understanding and explaining the difference between the 4 types of insurance policy.
  • Triaging enquiries relating to clinical presentations. 
  • Understanding and applying the principles of fielding enquiries about prices, registering clients, in a client-focused manner.  
  • Understanding the principles of managing your appointment schedules, booking in-patient procedures, repeat prescription medication requests.
  • Understanding the basic principles of dealing with clients who are waiting.
  • Achieving a purposeful finish and follow-up after the consultation, including asking for payments and arranging follow-up appointments. 

What's Next?

On completion of Veterinary Client Care Core Standards, the next logical step would be to continue onto Colourful CPD's Certificate in Veterinary Client Care, whereby upon completion you will be:

  • Entitled to use the post-nominals CertNCS(VCC).
  • Automatically registered as a RVCCA with ANCVA.
  • This means you will be entitled to use CertNCS(VCC), RVCCA a this stage.
