The Bronze award is suitable for those with no previous veterinary experience, providing introductory training, or can act as a refresher course for those with more experience in the role. 

On successful completion of this course, participants will gain the Bronze level of the Accredited Veterinary Receptionist award and will able to download their certificate of achievement.

  • Understanding the principles of preventative healthcare services and products.
  • Understanding and explaining the difference between the 4 types of insurance policy.
  • Triaging enquiries relating to clinical presentations. 
  • Understanding and applying the principles of fielding enquiries about prices, registering clients, in a client-focused manner.  
  • Understanding the principles of managing your appointment schedules, booking in-patient procedures, repeat prescription medication requests.
  • Understanding the basic principles of dealing with clients who are waiting.
  • Achieving a purposeful finish and follow-up after the consultation, including asking for payments and arranging follow-up appointments.
